Every year most of us make a resolution of getting fit and eating healthy. Why do we fail every time? It is because it is hard to follow such a strict routine. It can also get expensive to keep with healthy diet routines. Plus, how do we satisfy the junk food lover inside us? And what about the sweet tooth?
Here are some easy to follow ideas. They are tasty and healthy at the same time, making them much easier to stick to and for once, healthy food will be fun and you will actually want to eat these.
1. Roasted Broccoli
Put broccoli, some olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper on a lined baking tray. Bake it and in the end choose your favorite sauce and you have a snack that you can much on while you work.
Buy a pack of kernels next time you go to a grocery store. Microwave ‘em and voila! If you feel like cheating just a little bit, melt a tiny bit of chocolate and drizzle it on top.
3. Sweet potato fries
For fries lover who wants something healthy, cut some sweet potatoes, spritz some oil and seasoning on and bake until golden brown.
4. Fresh juice
Oranges cut in half, an orange squeezing thing (a spoon works well as an alternative), and some energy in your hands is what you need to have a glass full of vitamin C.
5. Banana sushi
Cut some banana chunks, spread peanut butter around the sides of it. Add your favorite toppings; be it cinnamon, coconut, chocolate chips, depends on how healthy you want to be. Lastly, grab your chopsticks and enjoy your snack!
For this one, take some strawberries, a frozen banana, half a lemon, some milk. Put it all in a blender, then in a freezer, then a bowl and then in your tummy.
7. Trail mix
This one you can customize however you like. Basically just mix in some nuts, some dried cherries, maybe a couple of chocolate chips and store it in a jar.
8. Healthy brownies
Make your brownies with almond milk, replace the flour with oat flour and refined sugar with powdered sugar. Your brownies will be just as yummy but much more healthy.
9. Apple sandwiches
Apple slices with peanut butter (or whatever you like most) in between, yum!
10. Carrot fries
Slice some baby carrots. Bake them after sprinkling some salt and pepper and that’s it!
